NEW Caffeine Boost (Classic JFET)

Supercool Pedals

Knobs n' Bobs / Supercool Pedals / NEW Caffeine Boost (Classic JFET)

It can be used at low settings as a volume leveller for your long signal chains, a temporary signal boost for guitar solos, or at higher levels to overdrive your favourite drive pedal or amplifier. It also sounds great being overdriven by another gain raising pedal, emulating the natural breakup reaction of a tube amplifier.

Knobs n' Bobs / Supercool Pedals / NEW Caffeine Boost (Classic JFET) (Specifications)
  • Made in Canada
  • 9v
  • Boost
  • A side switch to overdrive. Internal dip switch to change the PRE or POST volume

The NEW side switch toggles a set of clipping diodes that transforms the effect into a light overdrive pedal, with either pre or post volume options selectable via internal DIP switches. At PRE setting, the Caffeine Boost delivers a uniform overdriven distorted sound, and with the POST setting, the distortion increases as the volume of the pedal is raised, emulating the natural breakup of a tube amplifier. This new addition to the Caffeine Boost can transform it into a truly transparent light to mid gain overdrive pedal that is incredibly versatile and dynamic in response.

Supercool Pedals

Supercool Pedals is a small Canadian effects pedal company founded in 2019 by Jamie Muir in Toronto Ontario, and is now based out of the Peterborough/Nogojiwanong area.

Supercool Pedals are designed not only to provide fundamentally useful and creative effects to musicians, but also to serve as refreshing nostalgia-evoking objets d’arts that bring colour and conversation to pedal boards in an otherwise bland, often utilitarian, and sometimes overwhelming and saturated pedal market.

Each Supercool pedal is designed and built by hand with the highest quality materials, a whole lot of care, and probably a little too much whimsy.
