77 Fuzz Blender
Supercool Pedals
The Supercool ’77 Fuzz Blender is not just a heartfelt tribute to the classic op amp Big Muff fuzz circuit, but a calculated modern take that delivers a rich and highly modifiable tone.
- Made in Canada
- Tar, Smoke, Level, Blend
- Flavour, Cigarette
The Flavour switch gives two tone options; the first a more classic mid-scoop tone stack that can be rolled through the spectrum via the SMOKE pot and provides a rich bass and treble tone that has been used by countless artists and guitarists. The second option flips this on its head and instead delivers a more modern tone with a mid boost, allowing variable mid control with bass and treble rolloff. This second setting was designed specifically to counterpoint many classic and modern guitar amplifiers which tend to subtract warm mid tones from their output and focus mostly on bass and treble frequencies.
The Tar knob allows a smooth and variable sustain/feedback control that provides lighter and more variable clipping that varies from clean, to overdrive, to all-out fuzz attack.
NEW FOR v4.0: The Cigarette push button at the top of the 77 Fuzz Blender changes the clipping mode from a standard smooth symmetrical mode, to an asymmetrical mode that creates a more gated and zippy effect, similar to an underbiased transistor-based fuzz.
Lastly, the 77 Fuzz Blender completes its namesake with a blend knob that allows you to blend in your clean tone to create endless options in your signal chain. This makes it extremely stackable with other overdrive and distortion pedals, and can be used to create some truly complex and specific guitar tones, without the use of external splitters, buffers, or mixers.
Supercool Pedals
Supercool Pedals is a small Canadian effects pedal company founded in 2019 by Jamie Muir in Toronto Ontario, and is now based out of the Peterborough/Nogojiwanong area.
Supercool Pedals are designed not only to provide fundamentally useful and creative effects to musicians, but also to serve as refreshing nostalgia-evoking objets d’arts that bring colour and conversation to pedal boards in an otherwise bland, often utilitarian, and sometimes overwhelming and saturated pedal market.
Each Supercool pedal is designed and built by hand with the highest quality materials, a whole lot of care, and probably a little too much whimsy.
